We are really blessed to be under the care of Dr Sotirios Bisdas, our consultant neuro-radiologist.
Dr Bisdas is well published as he spearheads the latest innovative thinking in this field to manage a complex disease like a brain tumour. His advisory on a wide variety of scans (MRIs, FET-PET, specific spectroscopy markers) and his appetite to engage with overseas professionals to help guide the best course of treatment has been very reassuring to keep one step ahead of this complex and devastating disease than only be treated but has no cure.
For those who believe in taking ownership of their treatment plan, I cannot recommend Dr Bisdas any more highly. His bedside mannerisms and ability to think outside the box are an added bonus all cancer warriors and their carers can do with!
