About Dr Himanshu Tyagi
Dr Himanshu Tyagi specialises in treatment of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and related disorders.
He works as a consultant neuropsychiatrist at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery. In this role he runs a specialist outpatient clinic for Tourette syndrome comorbid with OCD alongside providing input in a NHS England commissioned level 1 neurorehabilitation services.
He trained as a psychiatrist at St. Mary’s Hospital, London. He then further specialised as a medical psychotherapist (CBT) at Springfield University Hospital. His work at the National Service for OCD led to him receiving a national award (2012) from the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
Dr Tyagi has strong research interests in Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and has coordinated MRC funded clinical research to evaluate new treatment approaches in severe treatment refractory OCD and maintains a strong affiliation with UCL Institute of Neurology in Queen Square.
