About Dr Aisling van der Walt
Aisling is a highly specialised occupational therapist at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery. She treats people who require outpatient occupational therapy in the Private Consulting Rooms at Queen Square. Aisling works with people to achieve their full potential, using a goal-oriented approach, with the aim of improving independence and quality of life.
Occupational therapy involves the assessment of how physical or cognitive difficulties may affect everyday living at home, work or leisure. Aisling offers specialist neurological occupational therapy, including cognitive rehabilitation in everyday tasks, fatigue management, splinting, upper limb rehabilitation, recommendation of suitable equipment, and activity analysis and adaptation.
