How do I make an appointment with a consultant?
You can make an appointment with a specific consultant by contacting their private secretary using the contact details given in the consultant search section of this website. Alternatively, you may wish to contact the consulting rooms directly on 020 344 88948, where a member of staff can provide you with the necessary contact details.
How much will my appointment cost?
If you are funding your treatment yourself, you are advised to contact the consultant via their private secretary to discuss the cost of an appointment. Fees vary between consultants and depending on the type of appointment required. Typically, fees can vary between £150 and £385.
Can I use my insurance?
The Queen Square Private Consulting Rooms are recognised by all major UK based insurers. We would always recommend that you contact your health insurer prior to making an appointment to ensure that the cost of your appointment will be covered. Insurance provider contact details can be found in the ‘How to Pay’ section of this website. When you attend your appointment, please bring your insurance details including the authorisation number with you so that we can liaise with your insurer on your behalf.
What are your opening times?
The Queen Square Private Consulting Rooms are open Monday – Friday, between the hours of 08:00 and 20:00. Some consultants will also see patients in Saturday clinics. Please refer to the consultant search section of this website to see individual consultant clinic times and contact details.
How long will my appointment last?
The duration of your appointment will depend on a number of factors. A first consultation may take up to one hour, although follow up appointments are usually shorter.
Can I bring someone in with me?
At the discretion of the consultant, you are welcome to bring a friend or relative in with you if you would prefer to have someone in the room with you.
Can you organise an interpreter for me?
If you require an interpreter to be present at any of your appointments, you are advised to discuss your requirements with the private secretary of the consultant you are seeing. It is preferable to arrange an independent interpreter where possible so that your discussion with the consultant is interpreted in a professional, and impartial manner. The Queen Square Private Consulting Rooms are able to assist in arranging an interpreter if you require help. Please call 020 344 88948 to discuss your requirements.
Do you have disabled access?
The Queen Square Private Consulting Rooms are fully wheelchair accessible. When you arrive, please ring the doorbell and a member of staff will come and assist you.
Do you have a cancellation policy?
Owing to the high level of demand for appointments, we would ask that any cancellations are made at least 24 hours prior to the appointment. If you need to cancel your appointment, please contact the Consulting Rooms direct on 020 344 88948. We may still charge for appointments which are not cancelled with prior warning.
How do I find the Queen Square Private Consulting Rooms?

Can I park in Queen Square?
There is a small amount of street parking available in Queen Square itself but spaces are limited. Please leave plenty of time if you would like to park on the Square in one of these spaces. Parking meters are located around the Square. Please also be aware that Queen Square is within the Central London Congestion Charging Zone.
Alternatively, several car parks are located in close proximity to Queen Square at The Brunswick Centre (approximately 5 minutes’ walk from Queen Square) and the Imperial Hotel (approximately 2 minutes walks from Queen Square).

How can I make a comment or complaint?
If you have any comments or complaints about our service, the reception staff at the Queen Square Private Consulting Rooms will be able to provide immediate assistance, or you may ask to speak to the registered manager.
We also have a formal complaints procedure which is as follows:
• All complaints are dealt with in a confidential manner and are fully investigated.
• All complaints will ordinarily be acknowledged within 2 working days, with a detailed reply within 20 working days if we are not able to address the problem immediately.
• If your complaint is of a serious nature and it takes longer to resolve, we will update you on the progress regularly.
